Frequently asked questions
Everything about your stickers, payment and postage.
What do I get in a pack?
Three matching stickers for $25 — one for each of your council bins (general, recycling and organics). They all share the same design; the bin lid colours already tell them apart.
Will they survive outside?
Yes! They're printed on gloss-white vinyl that's waterproof, UV resistant and fade proof — made to handle sun, rain and wash-downs.
Can I see my sticker before I buy?
Definitely. Our design tool shows a live preview that updates as you type your number and street and pick your font and spacing. What you see is exactly what gets made.
What colour are the stickers?
Gloss white — it stands out beautifully on every council bin colour and looks clean and professional. The sticker is just the lettering itself (no background rectangle), so it looks painted on.
How do I apply them?
Easy: give the bin a quick wipe and let it dry, peel the backing, position the sticker, smooth it down from one side to the other with your hand or a card, then peel away the top transfer layer. Ten seconds a bin. A tip: apply on a warm day — the vinyl sticks best when it isn't cold.
Is it allowed by the council?
Councils are generally happy for you to label your bins with your house number — many even encourage it so bins make it back to the right house. It's your bin to look after, and a number sticker isn't the kind of modification bin rules care about.
What if I make a mistake ordering?
Because every sticker is custom-made, double-check your number and street on the preview before you order. If you spot a mistake right after ordering, email us quickly at thatsmybinco@gmail.com — if we haven't made it yet, we'll fix it, no drama.
How do I pay?
We're in beta, so for now payment is by bank transfer or PayID — you'll get simple instructions when you order, and we'll start your sticker once it comes through. Card payment is coming soon.
How much is postage and how long does it take?
Postage is a $10 flat rate anywhere in Australia with Australia Post. Orders usually take up to one week from payment to posting.
Will they fit my bins?
Yes — they're sized to suit standard council wheelie bins.
